Getting married in the style of a work of art

As a wedding planner, I offer, among other things, to design and plan a wedding in the style of a work of art. The water lilies by impressionist artist Claude Monet provide an ideal romantic setting for a wedding. The French painter Claude Monet lived from 1840-1926 and in his later creative period focused on gardens and water lilies, among other things. For this reason, there is not one water lily work, but several works on this subject. The wedding ceremony was staged at the Water Lily Pond in the Karlsruhe Botanical Garden. The water lily pond was the central subject of the shoot, as it completely reflects the theme of the work of art. But the details of the shoot also play with the motif. The design concept of the wedding was tailored in its entirety to Monet's water lilies. Pastel shades form the basis of the color scheme.

The wedding dress represents the water lily and the glittering veil picks up the water droplets. The bridegroom's light blue suit reflects the water in the pond.

The table setting is decorated in rosé tones, combined with modern crockery, cutlery and glasses. The peonies in the dessert bowls present themselves to each guest as a small water lily pond. The transparent chairs interpret the theme of water in their own way with their own lightness. The stationery picks up on the pastel shades of the work of art and combines them in an unconventional way with modern lettering and graphics.

The wedding cake, decorated with a white chocolate water lily, was staged in a big way by the florist. The semicircular, floral border showcases the water lily cake like in a small pond.
