When art gets married

A talk with Olga David

When art gets married

A talk with Olga David

In the midst of floral installations, designer furniture and attention to detail, there is one element that is increasingly being used at weddings — real art. Not as decoration. But as a statement.

For our concept “Artsy Spring Wedding” Does the artist Olga David created a large-format work that served as a backdrop for the wedding ceremony. In this interview, she talks about emotions on canvas, art as a master of ceremonies, and why fleeting moments are often the strongest.

The artist behind the work

Olga David works expressively, multi-layered, emotionally. Her works reflect human states, movements, and atmospheres. “I am strongly inspired by the human being — by looks, light, shadow, what lies between the moments. ”

A common thread in her work: Movement — physically and emotionally. Everyday scenes, reinterpreted. Familiar things, alienated by their perspective.

When a work of art becomes part of the wedding

When she heard about our concept, Olga was immediately impressed:
“The idea of seeing art not just as decoration but as an active part of the ceremony appealed to me directly. ”

We coordinated the colors and shapes together — the work was created in their favorite format: XXL.

The moment when the picture stood in space — surrounded by light, architecture and emotions — was magical.

“It was as if the image was merging with the atmosphere. ”

Art at weddings? More than just beautiful

For Olga, it is clear: Art is underrated at weddings.
“It can bundle emotions, create atmosphere — even become a symbol for the couple. ”

When art comes into the context of a wedding, something special happens.
“The work lives on — it gets a story that goes beyond the studio. ”

Personal, not perfect

Your advice to couples?
“Have the courage to choose something personal. Art doesn't have to please everyone — it should reflect you. ”

A work of art that has deeply touched her is by Egon Schiele: Reclining woman.
“This raw openness — it still accompanies me today. ”

And what does her work express about the wedding ceremony?
“A real moment. Real, unfiltered. Volatile — but powerful. ”
